About HBA

Heritage Baptist Academy was founded in 1973, located on Chelsea Extended, Memphis TN. In 2007, HBA relocated our church and school to Cordova, TN. The reason for our school is that we believe godly parents want their children to grow mentally and spiritually under the nurture and admonition of the Lord Jesus Christ. The founders saw the need to establish a Christian school due to the obvious influence of the secular nature in public schools. This is our 50th year of educating children to follow the life of the Lord Jesus Christ and value and experience the learning of truth.

Meet our Preschool & Elementary Supervisor

"HBA provides a quality education at a reasonable rate. You and your child will become a part of the Heritage family! Parents love being able to eat lunch with their children, especially on special occasions. Students are encouraged to be kind to each other and wise in their choices. We provide traditional instruction combined with modern technology in all our classes. Teachers are well-trained, certified, and passionate in their fields and are gifted at teaching each student to be successful. Come be a part of this outstanding Academy!"

HBA Mission Statement

In dependence upon the Lord and in partnership with parents, Heritage Baptist Academy will teach students to imitate Christ and value learning.

Administration and Teachers will encourage students to “imitate Christ” and “value learning.” Faculty and students are to seek and follow Christ by imitating His heart by being like Him. We pray that our students will value knowledge (learn truth), obtain judgment (learn to make righteous decisions), and make life choices that are excellent in the eyes of Christ. This echoes God’s desire in the verses below this paragraph.

“And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; That you may approve (select) things that are excellent; that you may be sincere and without offense until the day of Christ.”

Philippians 1:9 - 10
